Crataegus laevigata Paul’s Scarlet: Scarlet Hawthorn. A small to medium ornamental tree, tolerant of most sites. Double red flowers cover the branches in early summer, making this about the best red flowered small tree there is, reliable and striking. Good for wildlife.
Crataegus lavallei: A small ornamental thorn tree, tough and tolerant. The glossy oval leaves are dark green, and hang on well into winter. White flowers are borne abundantly in May, followed by good sized scarlet red berries in autumn and winter.
Crataegus prunifolia : Perfect for smaller gardens. Dark green leaves turning yellow/orange in autumn. Produces white flowers and wildlife enticing red berries.
Davidia involucrata: Dove tree; Handkerchief tree: Spectacular in early summer, when large white bracts festoon the branches. A tough medium sized tree, it does well on any good soil.
Fagus sylvatica: Common beech. A great alternative to Hornbeam. Beech love lighter, well drained soils. Superb as pleached or cloud pruned specimens. Beech also makes a fantastic hedge. We can supply this as a tree, hedging or cloud plant.
Fagus sylvatica atropurpurea: Purple beech, Copper beech. A large tree with striking vivid purple foliage, turning copper in the autumn. We can supply this as a tree, hedging or cloud plant.
Fagus sylvatica Dawyck: A medium sized tree. The growth habit is close and columnar. The leaves are fresh yellow when young, turning golden green later. Excellent for a formal design. We can supply this in green, gold or purple.
Ginkgo Biloba Maidenhair tree. A magnificent medium sized deciduous tree, tolerant of most soils and atmospheric pollutants. The leaves are a unique fan shape, turning to a rich butter yellow in autumn.
Gleditsia triacanthos Spectrum: Honeylocust. An open deciduous tree with an upright spreading habit. The leaves flush bright golden yellow in spring and fade to greenish yellow in summer
Ilex ‘Nellie R. Stevens’ : Popular evergreen holly. Dark green leaves producing an abundance of red berries in Autumn.
Juglans nigra: Black walnut. A magnificent large tree. Tolerant of most soils. Big bold leaves make a wonderful sight in summer, and the deeply fissured bark of a mature specimen provide winter interest. Large round fruits are a treat for wildlife.
Juglans regia: Common walnut. Medium to large tree, eventually yielding highly valued timber. Tolerant of most soil types. Striking bold leaves in summer are followed by the edible nuts, which are profuse in a good year.
Laburnum x watereri ‘vossii’ : One of the most popular laburnums. Produces long drooping bright yellow flowers of up to 2ft in length in May or June. Scented flowers are a big draw for wildlife, particularly bees.
Ligustrum japonicum: Great for hedges and screening. Flowering and drought tolerant. Known as wax-leaf privet or Japanese privet is a species of Ligustrum native to central and southern Japan and Korea

Liriodendron tulipifera: Tulip tree. A magnificent large deciduous tree. Not fussy as to site. Pale green tulip-shaped flowers are carried in early summer. They turn clear yellow in autumn.
Magnolia grandiflora: A large rounded evergreen. Glossy dark-green leaves and highly fragrant cream flowers.
Malus evereste :A small deciduous tree producing white flowered crab apples. Starting off as red buds the flowers (5cm) flourish in spring with a second harvest of orange/yellow fruits in Autumn. We can supply as a tree or multi-stem.
