Just to say how impressed we were with the guys who came today. The weather was atrocious at first but improved later on, so they were working under difficult conditions. They worked extremely hard as the ground conditions were terrible without any complaint! Their maintenance and growing advice was very much appreciated. We as a family would just like to say thank you for the service, knowledge and our purchase with yourselves recently. We bought twenty-nine Leylandiis with little previous experience of planting trees. Employee Paul was extremely helpful giving advice over the phone and in person at our appointment. These plants are now in the ground as part of our family garden project and we are pleased with the result. Thank you again, we are pleased that the new hedge is planted before the winter starts and we will be contacting you again in the future for a further purchase as the rest of our garden takes shape in 2021. We visited Green Mile Trees on 10th September. We had booked an appointment with Paul Haste. Paul was friendly, clearly amazingly knowledgeable about his subject and was keen to ask us lots of questions about our circumstances and what we had planned for our garden. Following an initial discussion we went on a very extensive tour of the trees available and then moved further into the fields where the trees are grown. An hour flew by and some of our initial plans were confirmed and others changed based on the excellent advice from Paul. Coming away we just had to debate a couple of options but having seen the quality of the plants / trees on offer we knew we would be ordering. I have today ordered 12 Portuguese Laurel standard trees, a wonderful Chicago Fire and a massive pot for the Chicago fire to live in. We knew very little before we went to Green Mile but came away fully informed and very happy. Delivery will be around November and I will update as soon as the trees are received, so far though I can only give 10/10 for Green Mile Trees. D Parker – Sep 2020
This is the second time we have been to Green Mile Trees. Chris and Paul were so helpful in showing us round and the leaving us to mooch around all the trees and shrubs available. Once we had made our choice a quick call to their mobile was all it took to tell them what we wanted and to arrange delivery. We can’t rate this company highly enough. The service has been par excellence from visiting the site to choosing our trees, their patience during a delay at our end, when I sustained an ankle injury, and finally the delivery and planting. We must make a special mention however of Fraser and Tony, the two chaps that delivered and planted our selection. They arrived at the allotted time worked hard throughout. Were polite and very knowledgeable and gladly answered any questions we had. After searching the internet for mature trees we decided on using your Company you being more local to our home. We made an appointment to visit your business and on arrival, we were greeted by the most pleasant and obliging person who could not have been more helpful. He introduced himself as Paul, we knew from his manner we had chosen the right Company. Having wangled our way into the trade show at Four Oaks show earlier in the summer where we met Paul and Chris, we decided to drive to Retford from Conwy, North Wales. And it was well worth it. We purchased eight large trees, excellent specimens, that were delivered exactly on time by a lovely chap. They were planted the next day and look superb. Following the new home build, I asked Green Mile Trees to design and develop a full scheme of planting for our front and rear gardens. We chose Green Mile Trees for very good value and proximity to our new home. We visited and Chris took us around the trees – a lovely sight even in winter and you could see they were good quality. You can only choose the container grown trees yourself but we were not disappointed with their selection of the rootballed trees. One was damaged in transit and was replaced without question. In a third planting session after two successful earlier phases, 6 years prior, we started another copse and planted several specimen trees. Chris and colleague inspected in the first instance, advised on what was best to plant given our difficult terrain and exposure and then did all the agreed work leaving the place clean, tidy and with watering instructions.
