Tree Nursery Worker
At Green Mile Trees, the jobs vary according to the seasons. In the Winter months, the jobs tend to always involve working within a team; lifting, loading and despatching big plants. This can be quite physical work. In the Summer, you will be required to work more independently focusing on the growing and maintenance of plants. All the jobs involve working outdoors, and therefore in all weather conditions.
Main Duties
- Handling, Loading & Despatch
- Planting
- Potting
- Pruning
- Training and Maintaining the trees
- Opportunities to drive tractors, obtain a fork lift license, spraying license etc
The Ideal Candidate
- A hardworking & practical person
- Enjoys working outside *NOTE: this role is solely based outside
- Full drivers license
- Someone who can operate and maintain/repair machinery (experience desirable)
Hours of Employment
- Monday-Friday: 7:30am-4:30pm (40 hours per week)
- occasional Saturdays mornings throughout the Winter months.
- Candidate preferably able to drive as we are based in the countryside with few transport links.
